Salem has over 238 acres of park land. Beautiful Bryan Memorial Park, located at Salem's largest park, is home to two ballfields, picnic areas, eight shelters, a playground, four lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, a skate park, and Salem Family Aquatic Facility.
The shelters may be reserved at Salem City Hall.
Annual events held in Bryan Memorial Park are Family Fun Day held in June, Bluegrass BBQ Festival the first weekend after Labor Day, and the Apple Festival in mid September.
A short distance from Bryan Memorial Park is the Bryan Nature Trail, located just north of the Public Hospital of the Town of Salem. There is a one and three-quarter mile interpretive trail. Trail guide pamphlets are available at Salem City Hall.
