Greetings,
On behalf of the City of Salem, Illinois, I am proud to present this brief snapshot of our City. Recognized as an “Illinois Certified City”, Salem is steeped in history and stays prepared for the future. From a great location on Interstate 57 and Illinois Route 50 in the center of the Midwest, to being recognized as the most advanced City in the Nation in fiber-to-business internet connectivity.
Salem is moving forward.
Our Industrial Park is fully developed. Internet speeds of up to 4 tera bytes per second are available, as is plentiful water, sewer, gas and electric power. Our location at US Route 50 on I-57 and less than 40 minutes from I-70, I-24, I-44, I-55 and I-64 makes us the trucking capital of the Midwest.
Our estimated dollar potential in major retail categories by consumers located within a 15 minute drive time totals $353,535,150. This dollar amount jumps to $1,145,271,280 in the secondary trade area, which is a 25 minute drive time.
There are 8,722 households within the primary trade area, that number soars to 28,427 households within the secondary trade area.
The daily traffic count at the intersection of I-57 and Rt. 50 is approximately 19,000 cars per day and the work place population equates to nearly 10,500
The City of Salem and the Office of Economic Development are ready to invest in your growth. For confidential information on land, buildings and financing, please give me a call.
