Create a Cuddly
The City of Salem Recreation Department hosted their Christmas Create-A Cuddly event on Thursday evening, December 3, in the gym at the Bryan Bennett Library. Attended by several kids, parents, and grandparents, the evening was set with the theme "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The evening started out with MoJo the Monkey leading the group in a song. Tina McCulloch then instructed the children in creating their own Christmas mouse, complete with a hart being placed inside their cuddly friend. As the lights were turned
down low, with only the lights from the 10 foot Christmas tree lighting the gym, the children were invited to gather 'round as the story, Twas the Night Before Christmas was read. The evening closed with refreshments being enjoyed by all.
