Kaskaskia College: Customized Labor Training
Kaskaskia College was the first community college in Illinois established under the Junior College Act of 1965.  It has a rich tradition of providing comprehensive, high quality, cost-effective educational opportunities for lifelong learning.  The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools has awarded Kaskaskia College the maximum ten-year accreditation status.  This confidence in academic excellence serves as proof that Kaskaskia College is fulfilling its academic mission of training and educating our citizens and future leaders.

Kaskaskia College offers Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees for transfer to four-year colleges and universities as well as 29 associate degree career programs and 74 certificate programs. Students may also benefit from additional programs and activities through non-credit classes, business and industry training, and social, recreational and cultural events.

To assist students who are planning to transfer, Kaskaskia College participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI), a statewide agreement that allows transfer of completed Illinois General Education Transfer Core Curriculum between participating institutions.

The career and occupational programs are styled in accordance with the wants and needs of students, the community, business and industry.  The College is committed to working together with employers to assess technological, educational, and training needs.  Kaskaskia College’s partnerships with the region’s manufacturers assure a valuable, educated workforce.  The College serves as the primary resource for skills training programs and technical and computer education for business and manufacturing in the district.
