Safety From Car Jacking
-Keep car doors locked and windows shut even while driving.

-Don't stop to assist a disabled motorist.  Instead contact a service station or the police.

-When stopped at a traffic light, leave enough room between you and the car ahead to make an escape.

-Be suspicious of anyone approaching your car with flyers, asking for change, or directions.

-When driving, if struck from behind or in any suspicious way, stay in your car with the doors locked and windows shut until police arrive.  Activate your emergency flashers.

-If you are very suspicious get the other vehicle's license number an drive to the nearest police station or well-lit area with lots of people.

-If being followed, drive to an area with people and lights.  If possible, drive to the nearest police station.  Do not drive home.

-Carry a cell phone or CB radio to call for help.

-Do not pick up hitchhikers.

-Make sure your vehicle is in good condition and has enough gas to get where you are going.
