K9 Division

Salem Police Department currently has 1 multi-purpose police K9. Our K9 is trained in narcotic detection, tracking and apprehension. The K9 unit is an invaluable tool for the police department in our efforts to combat illegal narcotics, locate missing person or evidence and apprehend dangerous criminals. The K9 unit is also utilized for demonstrations for schools and other community groups.
