About Us

The City of Salem Animal Control Facility is located in Kell, IL. Citizens should call (618) 822-6696 for animal complaints, as well as to make an appointment to adopt or reclaim an animal.

Facility Hours
By Appointment Only

Monday - Friday: 9 AM - 3:30 PM

Saturday: 9 AM - 2 PM

Sunday: 9 AM - Noon

Animal Control Officer Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Any after hour emergency calls call be directed through the Salem Police Department Dispatch

If there is an emergency such as animal bites or vicious/dangerous animal, call 911.
