City of Salem Adopts Strategic Plan

The City of Salem is excited to announce the launch of our new strategic plan, an ambitious roadmap that will guide us towards a brighter and more proactive future. Highlights of the new strategic plan include:

Mission Refinement: Our City has redefined its mission statement to reflect our evolving priorities and goals. We are committed to providing the foundation needed to support our citizen’s and business’ opportunity to thrive.

Vision for the Future: We have set a clear vision for the future, outlining what we aspire to achieve over the next four years.  Our vision statement is: Your Opportunity to Thrive.

Core Values: The City, in alignment with the Council, has identified a set of core values that will guide our actions, decisions, and culture. These values include: Professionalism, Accountability, Transparency, Positive Leadership, and Acting with Integrity

Strategic Objectives: The strategic plan outlines our key objectives for the coming years. These objectives are designed to align with our mission and vision and to address the most relevant challenges our community currently faces, such as housing, quality of life, beautification and revitalization, as well as infrastructure and economic development.
