Camera Program

Citizens can contact the City of Salem Police Department if they wish to add their security cameras to our list and maps. We do not have access to the cameras and it can only be granted by the citizen. The footage is a stored record for officers to use in the event of a crime, to quickly determine where usable video cameras may be located. This is an invaluable tool in criminal investigations and also a significant crime deterrent.
