Investigations

The Salem Police Department has 3 investigators - 2 general criminal and sex crimes and 1 narcotic investigator assigned to State and Federal narcotic task forces. There are numerous additional career assignments available for investigators, such as the Child Death Task Force, Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force, FBI Task Force, Motorcycle Gang Task Force and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force among others.
